FAQs

General Service

  • How does the robotic mowing service work? Our service is entirely subscription-based. We bring a commercial-grade robotic mower to your property, set up a precise digital map of your yard, and let the robot maintain your grass at a perfect, consistent height all week long.

  • Do I need to be home for the installation? Yes, we ask that you or another adult be present during the initial setup. This allows our technician to walk the property with you, map out the custom boundaries, and make sure you're completely happy with the designated mowing areas. We will need to plug in the the docking

Property & Eligibility

  • What counts as a "standard lawn" for your pricing? Standard pricing applies to open, relatively flat properties with clear boundaries. Lawns with severe terrain challenges, heavy obstructions, or isolated grass zones may require a custom assessment before we can start service.

  • Can the robot mow my backyard if it is fenced in? Fences separating yards are a very common layout feature! However, a closed fence or gate will prevent the robot from traveling between the front and back zones automatically. During your setup, we can discuss options like manual gate access or setting up specific schedules.

  • What happens if my property line blends into my neighbor's? No problem at all. Because we use advanced, wireless mapping technology, we can draw a highly precise digital boundary right along your property line to ensure the robot never wanders onto your neighbor's lawn.

Safety & Operations

  • Is the robotic mower safe around my kids and pets? Equipped with built-in lift, tilt, and collision sensors, the mowers are designed to automatically stop blade rotation and alter their path upon detecting an obstacle in the yard.

  • What happens if it rains? The mowers are completely weatherproof and designed to operate in light rain. However, if there is a severe storm or the ground becomes heavily waterlogged, the mower's smart sensors will pause operation until conditions improve to protect your turf.

  • What if the robot gets stuck or has an error? Our team monitors your robot remotely. If it encounters a landscape challenge or gets stuck, we receive an alert instantly. In most cases, we can resolve it remotely, but if necessary, a technician will come out to get it back on track.

Security & Anti-Theft

  • What keeps the robot from being stolen? Our mowers are equipped with advanced, multi-layer security. Each unit features built-in GPS tracking, strict geofencing, and a secure PIN code lock. If the mower is lifted or carried outside its digital boundary, it instantly locks down, sounds an alarm, and sends a real-time theft alert directly to our monitoring team.

  • Can someone else use the mower if they take it? No. The mower is digitally bound to our encrypted network and your specific property map. Without the authorized account access and the correct security PIN, the unit completely disables itself and becomes completely unusable to anyone else.

Charging Dock & Electrical Requirements

  • What kind of electrical outlet does the docking station require?

The charging station plugs directly into a standard 120V household outdoor electrical outlet. It uses a highly efficient, low-voltage power adapter, so it does not require any specialized high-voltage wiring or dedicated commercial breakers.

  • Does the outlet need to be waterproof?

Yes. For safety and compliance, the station must be connected to an outdoor-rated, weather-protected GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) outlet equipped with an in-use waterproof cover (often called a "bubble cover" or "while-in-use" cover).

  • How close does the dock need to be to the outlet?

Ideally, the dock should be placed within reach of its standard power cable. However, if your ideal docking location is further away from the house, we can utilize a heavy-duty, low-voltage extension cable (up to 32 feet / 10 meters) to safely bridge the gap across your yard without losing power.

  • Will it run up my electric bill?

Not at all! Our robotic mowers are incredibly energy-efficient. On average, powering the docking station costs less than $10 per month—which is a fraction of the cost of buying gasoline for a traditional lawnmower.
